Jaguars Will Not Be Censored
Update March 7, 2006
I found the original offense.
( I forgot to mention how I found it. This gentleman had it posted on his blog.)
The paper reprinted one cartoon, called the cartoons of Jyllands-Posten offensive, and denounced violence. And muslims were offended. Was it the denouncement of violence that they found unbearable?

While the cartoons are considered to be in bad taste, and offensive, is it
really worth bombing embassies in order to protest over a cartoon?

From the article: Muslim students at the school have sought an apology since the cartoon appeared in the paper's Feb. 13 edtion. It depicts Muhammad, holding a curved sword, with a black bar over his eyes and flanked by two women wearing burkas.
And the paper didn't even print "the most offensive cartoon," which was the bomb-in-the-turban one.
Well, they're pissed about everthing anyway, so have at it, Alabama!
Typo: "everything."
Maybe some of those students would be willing to step our from under the books for a few hours to discuss the nature of Islam to get a deeper understanding of it. What do you think?
We're meeting at the Vancouver Public Library atrium on Thursday evening from 7-9:00 pm. They might like to join up in Alabama in some show of solidarity and learn also that they are not alone.
The student paper doesn't owe anyone an apology. Some students might be offended if they offered one.
God Bless America, God Save The Republic
Some Muslims have already stated that an apology for the Danish cartoons is not enough. What these nutjobs want is beheadings!
