ForlornHope

The title of this blog can be read several ways, historically I have seen it as a reference to a Dutch phrase meaning "first troop." Some have used it to convey a threat. But I use it in reference to an unlooked for hope, persistant even in sure defeat.

Crazy Fundie

Not only does George Saieg have the temerity to go where he had been cautioned,

“They have many mosques in Dearborn, and everybody in the community warned us not to go there after the Friday prayers,” ...

but even after hearing

"...a very moving, powerful speech, filled with hatred,”

"... the kind of speech that could lead to the destruction of America.”

He intends to go back. And in further evidence of madness he asks for volunteers.

"Pastor Saieg will attend the Arab International Festival next month in Dearborn, and is looking for volunteers to go with him, as well as donations for the purchase of 50,000 “Jesus Film” DVDs and other materials. "

I wish him well.

"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God."
